40 Mile Beach Road

Located between two of Queensland's tourist attractions, Noosa and the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. The 40 Mile Beach Road is a designated government road which is actually part of the beach, stretching north of Noosa Heads to Rainbow Beach (where the ferry departs for Fraser Island).

  • Duncan Highway The Duncan Highway was largely a Western Australian highway, however the creation of the Ord River dam (Lake Argyle) in the 1970s necessitated the realignment of Duncan Highway into the western extremity of Northern Territory.
